Rare Voices of Passion

11 09 2010

A recital of Amorous and Uncommon Literature. Scared you for a minute didn’t I? Tonight’s concert was a voice concert. Shannon Talley is working on her Doctorate in voice and tonight was a recital she put on for it. I don’t know if I mentioned this before, but I am not good at listening and discerning good or bad performances. Luckily I went with Alicia [a voice student] and we sat next to all of her voice buddies and they said it was great. I want to learn how to tell that for myself. I am learning how to do it.

I think I am music’d out for the week. I feel like I spent a whole week at Holly’s (my piano teacher) house. I remember when going to a whole weekend of music events exhausted me. Tomorrow I will probably be back in the music mood. I’m going to try and go to a soccer game on Sunday.
